Cultivating the Inner Light

My happiness still responds to the circumstances of each day. Some days are lighter than others. But at some point, I stopped expecting the world to provide what only I could cultivate within myself.
I learned to notice the good that comes my way. I lowered my expectations of what others could give me and deepened my appreciation for what life already offers. Above all, I learned to surrender.
What I found was something deeper than happiness: a quiet sense of peace.
So, in a way, I live a double life. I experience the joys and challenges of each day, while carrying an inner contentment that remains present—even with a clear awareness of the struggles and sorrows we all share.
