Carrying On in Times of Conflict

Many of us feel a quiet unease as life goes on as if nothing were happening, while, not far away, societies are struggling to survive. For those marked by war, that unease turns into guilt and a persistent question about the meaning of ordinary days in the face of so much suffering. Is it audacious, or even immoral, to allow ourselves moments of joy?

And yet, to endure, we must continue. We learn to care for one another, to stay connected, and to create moments of beauty and normalcy—not to forget, but to remember. Pain and beauty coexist. So we choose engagement over withdrawal, and the quiet courage to live, even when the world is breaking.
